No birth time? No problem. Ask a Question astrology using KCIL gives precise answers from the moment a question is asked. Here is exactly how it works.
✦ Explore Your Free KP ChartHorary astrology — called Prashna in Sanskrit — is the art of answering a specific question using a chart cast for the exact moment the question is sincerely asked. You do not need a birth chart. The chart of the question itself contains the answer.
K.S. Krishnamurti pioneered the KP approach to Prashna, and S.P. Khullar refined it with KCIL's Sub-Chart Ruler precision. The result is a method accurate enough to answer questions like "Will I get this job?" or "Will my property sale go through?" — with a yes or no answer and a timing window.
In KCIL Prashna, the chart is cast for the moment the querent asks the question with genuine concern. The Ascendant of the Prashna chart represents the querent. The relevant house cusp's Sub-Chart Ruler answers the question.
For any question, identify the relevant house first:
| Question Type | Primary House | Supporting Houses |
|---|---|---|
| Will I get married? | 7th | 2nd, 11th |
| Will I get this job? | 10th | 2nd, 6th, 11th |
| Will my property sell? | 4th (seller's property) | 3rd (change), 12th (giving up) |
| Will I recover from illness? | 1st (health) / 6th (disease) | 8th (recovery), 11th (gains) |
| Will I get a loan approved? | 6th | 2nd, 11th |
| Will I travel abroad? | 12th | 3rd, 9th |
If the Sub-Chart Ruler of the relevant cusp signifies the houses that fulfil the query — the answer is YES.
If it signifies the houses that deny or oppose the query — the answer is NO.
If it signifies a mix — the outcome is partial or delayed.
Example: For a job question, if the 10th cusp ssl signifies houses 2, 6, 10, 11 — YES, you will get this job. If it signifies 1, 5, 8, 12 — NO, this particular opportunity will not materialise.
Once the answer is YES, timing uses the same Dasha + transit method as natal chart prediction. The active Dasha lord in the Prashna chart must also be a significator of the relevant houses. The transit of the Moon through a significator's Star Zone on a specific day is the trigger.
For urgent questions (will I hear about my interview today?), look at the Moon's position and movement through significator Star Zones in the coming hours. For longer-term questions (will I buy a house this year?), look at the Pratyantar Dasha period of a significator.
Traditional Prashna in Vedic astrology uses broad house interpretations and can give ambiguous answers. KCIL Prashna is binary — the Sub-Chart Ruler either signifies the relevant houses or it does not. This gives a clear yes/no with no room for vagueness. It is particularly powerful for business decisions, property matters, legal disputes, and medical questions where a definitive answer is needed quickly.
Navigate to the Ask a Question screen. Enter the current date and time — the chart is automatically cast for this moment at your location. Ask your question, select the relevant house, and the system shows the Sub-Chart Ruler and its house life area connections, giving you the KCIL answer instantly.
